1/4 of Allusion: a reference to something the author thinks you should know
1 cup of a Plot: the main events of a story
3/4 cups of Theme: a topic in which the story falls into
1/4 teaspoon of Diction: the words the author uses
1/2 tablespoon of Syntax: how the author arranges his sentences
A pinch of Indirect characterization:by using dialogue you can start to see what type of character it is
Direct characterization: the author tells you about the character
Static characterization: stays the same
Dynamic characterization: changes throughout the book
Symbolism: using a symbol to get something across
Synecdoche: the swim team won agains pv ( the swim meet)
